Nipissing Cottage

Spring and Fall - Mon-Thurs or Thurs-Sun for 3 nights
Summer - Mon-Sun for 6 nights

Take off to Algonquin Park's northwest corner for a weekend of scenic canoeing combined with a comfortable lakeside cottage. Enjoy three nights of accommodation with solar power, a wood fireplace, a deck, and a BBQ. Located on beautiful Kawawaymog Lake at Algonquin Park Access # 1. The Nipissing Cottage is a great base to explore nearby islands by canoe or paddle down and to fish the Amable du Fond River that feeds into the Park on the other side of the lake. Hike the lookout trail or just relax with a good book on the dock or in front of the fireplace.

The Nipissing Cottage comes with two canoes, 6 paddles, and PFDs. Additional canoes, kayaks, SUP's, fishing rods, and equipment can be rented from Voyageur Quest Outfitting located at the check-in at the top of the lake.

Try a weekend in the quiet seasons of spring or fall. May and September are usually gorgeous with warm days and cool nights. The water is cool but you can heat up in the floating sauna and take a plunge into the clear cool water! Early June is buggy but the last two weeks are the best time to see wildlife! Long Weekends, Summer, and Fall colors in September and early October are glorious peak seasons for us, so book early as to avoid disappointment.
