| Rates: – Unfortunately we have had to raise some of the rates this year to compensate for some sharp increases in canoe prices and outfitting gear. However on a comparison basis with other outfitters we are definitely still competitive. Staff: – Our main nam, Gary, is returning, however Ian has left to pursue a career in the electrical field and will be in his 3rd year of an apprenticeship. Al has joined the Canadian Armed Forces and is training to become a combat engineer. We have a new man joing us, Kaleb Shelton, who is in his first year at Wilfred Laurier University in an Honors scince program majoring in biology. He is no stranger to Round Lake since he and his family own a cottage on an island here on the lake. Canoes: – We will be adding some new canoes this year and will be offering a Souris River model which is 18.5' and has 3 seats. We think that this will be of interest to young families with children and parties with 3 people.. Digital Pictures: – as we have done in previous years we will be offering to take a free digital picture of your party and e-mail it to your home for viewing when you return from your trip. Other Services: – we will be carrying a good range of products again this year. Items that may be forgotten in packing - sunscreen, repellents, first aid, fishing gear, etc. Clothing, including hoodies, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and a wide variety of head gear. Also refreshments such as, ice cream, cold drinks, chocolate bars, etc. Specials: - As last year, we are offering two canoe trip draws again this year. One will be open to canoe trip customers in July and the other in August. Each draw will be for a free 3 day rental of a 16' light weight canoe. Two paddles, two PFD'S and a safety kit are included. Value of the package is over $100.00. Discounts: - only one discount will be allowed
in cases where more than one discount is available. The discount giving the
best deal for the customer will be the one applied.
