Adding to our canoe trip operation, Voyageur Quest’s lodge-based business grew with a passion and yearning to be in Algonquin year-round.
Our first adventure lodge, the Algonquin Log Cabin, opened in 1998 and over the years we have added the Algonquin Cottage Outpost and the Algonquin Island Retreat. Over the past 25 years, Voyageur Quest has grown to be recognized as one of Canada’s best adventure travel companies including being selected to the Canadian Tourism Commission’s “signature experience” collection. Our large group programming offers outdoor education, corporate team building, weddings, and day trip bus group tours.
In October 2012, Voyageur Quest purchased Voyageur Outfitting from Don Maclean, who retired after 30 years of incredible business. Purchasing the Algonquin Park canoe outfitter was a perfect addition to Voyageur Quest’s guided Algonquin Park adventure operation. Our plan: to bring the same high quality service to the canoe outfitter and offer our customers a wider selection of adventures, both guided and self guided.
Voyageur Quest Outfitting provides canoe and kayak rentals, pre- and post- trip lakeside accommodation, full outfitting packages and convenient a last-stop store to pick up whatever you forgot for your self-guided adventure. Ask about our shuttle service and transfers from downtown Toronto.
