Algonquin Guided Canoe Trips

3-Day Algonquin Family Canoe Trip

Summer 2024: Monday to Wednesday Canoe Trips

The three-day Algonquin Park family canoe trip moves through the northwest corner of Algonquin Park and is ideal for families with young children looking for adventure. The pace is relaxed, which makes this canoe trip suitable for families of all abilities and experience levels. If we are lucky, we might catch sight of a large moose or hear a pack of wolves.

Led by professional guides, family canoe trips feature amazing wildlife viewing opportunities, fantastic back-country cuisine, and spectacular campsites. Learn or refresh paddle, portage, and “no-trace camping” skills while traveling from lake to lake.

The Algonquin Park family canoe trip has a minimum age of 6 years old. if you have a family with younger children, please contact our office and ask about our private canoe trips.

Voyageur Quest's Algonquin Park family canoe trips are participatory by nature. This includes learning how to paddle, and portage (carry a canoe over land, between lakes, or around rapids). The longest portage on a 3-day trip is 350m. Practice no-trace camping as you and your family hike and paddle into Algonquin Park. Campsites are selected for their location and scenic views overlooking the clear fresh water. 2, 3, and 4-person tents are organized according to each family and group size. Feast on gourmet backcountry meals incorporating fresh local ingredients. Dietary requirements? Kids are picky eaters? No problem. Let us know, and we’ll take care of the details!
