Winter Algonquin Expedition

Winter 2026/27: private, 3 nights, any dates from January 7 to March 7, 2027, you pick the dates.

Your own private winter expedition at the northwest corner of Algonquin Park, for 2 to 4 people. Spend the first night at the cozy Algonquin Log Cabin on Surprise Lake, then snowshoe out hauling toboggans across frozen lakes and through snow-laden forest to winter camp. Two nights in heated canvas wall tents, days on snowshoes and skis, and a guide who teaches you how to live well in the winter woods.

Day 1: arrive at the Log Cabin after 4 pm for dinner, a route and packing briefing, and a night in the cabin. Days 2-3: snowshoe with toboggans to winter camp, set up the heated tents, explore on skis. Day 4: snowshoe back to the Log Cabin for the sauna and a late lunch.

Includes 1 night at the Log Cabin and 2 nights winter camping in heated wall tents, all meals from dinner on day 1, winter camping equipment, winter sleeping bags, snowshoes and toboggans, and the services of a wilderness guide. Not included: HST, personal clothing, transportation. No winter camping experience needed, but you should be active and comfortable outdoors for 5-6 hours a day.
