This summer, we’re excited to share a brand-new addition to the Broken Paddle Patio at Voyageur Outfitting: a covered porch! Built in June 2025 by Mauricio and our hardworking outfitter staff, this new space has already become a guest favourite.

Algonquin weather has a way of keeping us on our toes—one moment you’re basking in warm sunshine, the next you’re ducking under a quick rain shower. Our new covered porch means you can now enjoy your coffee, breakfast sandwich, or post-paddle drink with total comfort, no matter what the skies decide to do.
A Place to Gather
The Broken Paddle Patio has always been about community—paddlers swapping stories, families relaxing after a day on the lake, and friends gathering before heading out on adventures. The covered porch makes this space even more welcoming, offering shade on hot days and shelter on wet ones. It’s quickly become the perfect spot to start or end your canoe trip.
